It is a challenge for Dhuat to help our young generation understanding the Quran.
It can be done in a simple manner, telling them how to recite and what are the manners to uphold… just tell them.
But as for myself, I believe that Quran can never be appreciated if our kids could not find the missing link between them and the One behind the Quran. We need to help our kids to relate themselves with Allah the Almighty before instructing them to respect His Word.
A kid can simply ignore a stranger, but once he was told that the lady is his long missing biological mother that he always wanted to meet, the attitude will change. Bring our kids to know Allah, before expecting them to appreciate al-Quran.
It is not an easy task, but I take the challenge. First and foremost, I need the experience to prepare myself for my own kids.
Insya Allah tomorrow, I will deliver an interactive talk with kids whom their parents are the members of Muslim Professional Forum (MPF), under the topic, “GETTING TO KNOW THE QURAN”. The venue is Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan, Jalan Duta.
